Martin Luther King Jr.'s Legacy
Although there were always some who resorted to violence there were always the people who decided that the only way to fight white’s cruel segregation laws and earn themselves peace, was to use peaceful demonstrations. Martin Luther King Jr. undoubtedly left his mark on the world when he utilized his philosophy of nonviolence during the Civil Rights Movement and his influence on the black youth of America and his fellow Civil Rights Movement activists. If Martin Luther King Jr. was not around during the Civil Rights Movement, this movement would not be remembered as the time when blacks tried to earn rights and justice for themselves, but it would be remembered as a time of violence, bloodshed and sadness.
